First food and Father's Day

We had our appointment at the NICU last week and everything went great! They did a developmental check on Dawson to see if the Group B or the medications hurt him in any way and he was advanced! He is doing amazing! They did want us to start Dawson on rice cereal though just because of the motor skills involved. So we started his first feeding today. He LOVED it! With the first bite, he couldn't get enough or get it fast enough! He was so mad when it was all gone! Then after that we took Papa and daddy golfing for Father's Day. Dawson did so well the whole time and didn't make a peep! He just loved watching the trees blow in the wind! We will finish Father's Day tomorrow with breakfast in bed and gifts then just hang out all day!

Catch up!

Time sure does fly! I am all done with school for the year and am on my summer break! I have been looking forward to spending lots of time with my little Dawson! He is getting so big so quick. I know everyone says that but I guess I never realized how true it was. Dawson had his first babysitters last week. His Aunties, Carol and Jenny came to watch him while we went to my end of the year BBQ for school. Then the next day we went for Dawson's 4 month wellness check up. He weighs 15 pounds 2 ounces and is 24.5 inches long. He is pretty much average according to the dr. charts. The dr. said that he has a tooth coming in on the bottom right, poor little guy! He has really been using his hands to grab ahold of things and started the new trick of flinging himself backwards, a trick mommy doesn't like at all! We also got to meet a great friend of ours' girlfriend. We had a good time with her and both really liked her, way to go Jiron!

Teething on his giraffe

He has been using this exersaucer and loves to sit in it.

He loves his bumbo seat!

Stolen from Jiron's girlffriend, Christine! Thanks! Notice the spit?

This week we were supposed to go to the NICU for a check up for Dawson but they rescheduled that for tomrorow. I am excited to see how he rates on their developmental charts. We did get to pick up his latest pictures. They turned out super cute! We are going to play outside in Dawson's new pool this afternoon so I will have to post pictures of that later on as well as update you on Dawson's dr. appt.
